Black Malt Simpson's

Simpsons Black Malt is a heavily roasted malt that contributes intense roasted, burnt, coffee, and cocoa-like character with deep black colour. Because it is made from malted barley, it is smoother and less sharply dry than Roasted Barley while still adding strong roast complexity.

Use small amounts for colour adjustment or larger additions in porters, stouts, black IPAs, schwarzbier, and other dark styles.

• Moisture: 3% maximum
• Extract: 70% dry basis minimum
• Typical usage: up to 5% of the grist
